Spring is finally here in Pittsburgh, and it heralds not only gardens in bloom and birds singing their little hearts out.

Can we get exhausted after long term concentrated effort to focus on the healing power of God?
I seem to have experienced a dip, a feeling of numbness, tiredness, even apathy towards the things of God, shut my mouth!
I can’t discipline myself to pray, I find it hard to sit quietly and worship. Where is my devotion, my love, my joy?
Have you ever experienced this? It is new to m...Read Full Post »

After 9 weeks, exactly, our son, Ethan will come home tomorrow from rehab! Halleluia!
This day looked like an impossibility on March 4, 2012 when Ethan suffered a massive stroke 10 days after a foot surgery to correct his crooked toes and lengthen his Achille's tendon.
Many friends have wondered how this could have happened.
Ethan was born with a three chambered heart and no p...Read Full Post »

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name!
If ever there is a need for discipline to apply the truth that you know about the Lord, and standing on His promises, it is during a great trial.
Our journey with our son, Ethan, is 2 weeks old. During these two weeks of recovery from a stroke, the waves of grief have been subdued by speaking forth the praise of God who is...Read Full Post »

Our son Ethan suffered a stroke in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 4. He is progressing well. God is holding Him in His everlasting arms and we know that Ethan is a warrior, and so are we.
Pray for restored speech, and peace in his body. He can feel, move, follow commands and is aware and responsive. He is feeling great frustration, naturally, over no speech.God is Able, and will do more than we can ask or imagine thr...Read Full Post »

As I was praying for Mike today, (see yesterday’s post) praising God for His constant faithfulness to us, even not-yet-believers, the words of a couple of psalms came to mind. They brought me comfort and strengthened my spirit within me to believe God, and to lay aside the doubt and fear which are the tools of the enemy....Read Full Post »

Thank you to those who prayed for my health, safety and clarity this week as I ministered to 4 women's groups near central Pennsylvania. You ladies in DuBois, Philipsburg, Altoona and Johnstown were a delight. Stay strong and faithful in the Lord!
It was a joy to welcome 9 first time visitors to the Johnstown group. Halleluia! We certainly hope those ladies will be back at next month's luncheon and bring friends.
We know that now more than ever, people need...Read Full Post »

"For all the promises of God in Christ are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God in us". 2 Cor 1:20
I recently heard this scripture several times and I loved the sound of it! My spirit longed to go deeper to understand more of what is revealed here, and to embrace it, breathe it, live it to strengthen my faith through any hardship or challenge of life.
It must be because of my current focus on stud...Read Full Post »

Hello there, friends.

But, I, too have been undergoing an overhaul of sorts. Spiritual overhaul.

Perhaps you are like me. Each year I trouble myself to make a great effort to improve something in my life. You know, like get healthier, eat better, work out more, or de-clutter, be more punctual and organized, spend more time with people I love, deepen my Bible study, save money, yada yada yada.
Sound familiar? And,do you, like me, then stand facing the future outcome of this migh...Read Full Post »
