The skies opened up this morning with a steady stream of intense rain. The thirsty earth has been finally replenished after days of record high temps and heat indexes that gave us all the feeling of what life must be like in a tropical rainforest on the equator.
As the gentle breeze directed a refreshing spray of water onto my face as I watched the storm from my front porch, I sensed the relief for a desperate condition…..such parched, dry moun...Read Full Post »

In my last post, I shared a challenge to stand still and see the Invisible God make a way for us which we are not able to see, just as Moses did on the edge of the Red Sea. He pronounced, with confidence, this exhortation to stand still and see the salvation of God that day.
Today, on the eve of the 235th anniversary of the founding of our nation, we may feel a bit crippled, trapped and hopeless with a nation once more at war, and ...Read Full Post »

Here is a new scripture power deposit for us to consider today. I’m sure you are already familiar with this one from Romans Chapter 8 verse 31: “If God is for us, then who can be against us?”
When it comes to having a source of power and defense, there is none greater the Lord God Almighty. In the Old Testament evidence abounds of God’s power at work for His precious people.

Have you had any opportunity to draw upon those power deposits in your heart lately? Speaking the Words of Life from scripture to others and to your own spirit makes a powerful impact on everyone. When James wrote in Chapter 1 about the importance of being a doer of the Word, not just a hearer, he was encouraging believers to take action with their faith.
Be intent, and intentional, when studying and sharing the Word of...Read Full Post »

Do you know that God has made you the exactly perfect receptacle in which to deposit His Spirit?
It does not matter if you are young or old, male or female, tattooed, hairy, scrawny, or fit as a fiddle. God made you the perfect dwelling place for His power, His grace, His purpose. Do you believe that?
If there is any uncertainty, we need only look at the countless examples of people whose lives were transformed...Read Full Post »

Power and Strength in Intimacy with the Lord. This is the key to powerful Kingdom Living.
It never fails that when I am on the verge of going deeper with my Lord that ol’ Devil puts up a stumbling block. Did that ever happen to you? If so, come back after you enjoy this peaceful, comforting songRead Full Post »

Shakespeare was right: All the world truly is a stage, playing out the best and worst in human nature every day. Last week a royal wedding dominated the news; This week it is the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. Could there ever be a greater contrast?
Each of these high profile events continues to stir deep emotions and reactions. Each a display of power, different types of power, and we are curious to know all the intim...Read Full Post »

The marriage of royalty took place this morning in England. It was lovely, filled with the pomp and circumstance, the splendor and pageantry expected of a monarchy.
Prince William and Princess Kate seem to be a new breed of monarchy, respecting and maintaining the protocols of royalty and their duty to the crown, but still pushing out against the gates of Buckingham Palace to be more accessible to the public.

It is Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday 2011 is only days away.
While we are light years ahead of Old Testament times or Paul’s experiences in AD 50 in the areas of science and technology, it amuses me, and in a strange way comforts me, that in matters of the heart and spirit, we are still standing in exactly the same place: humbled humans coming face to face with a glorious God of love.
Tragedies and triumphs still ...Read Full Post »

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
When Jesus spoke these words to his disciples, they were together celebrating the Passover meal. In fact, it was the Last Supper, and Jesus had just demonstrated love in two powerful symbols: feet and communion. ...Read Full Post »

We’ve been studying love. The Great Exchange is the essence of Eternal Love.
When God exchanged the life of Jesus as the ransom for our lives, He provided the way we could exchange our sin and limitations for the fullness of God’s grace and power. God’s Word says we are now children of God, heirs with Christ and Citizens of the Kingdom.
I asked you to think about Psalm 32: 1-...Read Full Post »

Last week I shared with you a revelation that hit me so powerfully:
When we ask Jesus Christ to come into our hearts to be Lord and Savior, He brings ALL THAT HE IS with Him! He brings so much more than forgiveness and salvation, as if that isn’t enough.
When I make Jesus Lord of my life, He comes in with pure love, power, purpose, light, strength, wisdom, righteousn...Read Full Post »

I am so blessed and grateful for the amazing love and goodness of our God. It is such an awesome thing to study God’s Word. His love is overwhelming! There is something new every morning, more than we will ever comprehend, but thank God we can move forward in it. I haven’t arrived, but I left! Isn’t that a great phrase!
These last few weeks I found that trying to define and grasp Kingdom Living t...Read Full Post »

"For all the promises of God in Christ are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God in us". 2 Cor 1:20
I recently heard this scripture several times and I loved the sound of it! My spirit longed to go deeper to understand more of what is revealed here, and to embrace it, breathe it, live it to strengthen my faith through any hardship or challenge of life.
It must be because of my current focus on stud...Read Full Post »

Welcome back! I pray you are being blessed by the great grace of Jesus as we continue our study in Kingdom Living, Reigning with Christ.
The Light of the World has revealed that He has planted within each believer, by the power of His Spirit, so much potential to live as a victorious citizen of His Kingdom.
Light has shone in our darkness; we are to walk in that Light. But, how does that loo...Read Full Post »
